Municipality of Bingawan, Iloilo celebrates its 51st Municipal Founding Anniversary and 12th Pagnahi-an Festival Bingawan today June 21, 2020. Our theme, Bingawan: “Be Smarter than COVID-19 Pandemic, We Fight as One, We Heal as One” is very challenging . Instead of our usual way of celebration, we will celebrate in a New Normal way without interfacing wit each other but in a virtual way through social media platform.
Our forefathers had shown their unity with strength and cooperation when they build a Pagnahi-an House for shelter and even when the great fire occurred in 1906 followed by hunger and famine. During those times, they stand and fight together in order to survived until such time that a new community was born and developed. In this time of crisis, the people of Bingawan and the local officials are collaborating each other to protect the town against the unseen enemy. Still, the value of strength in unity is alive among the Bingawanons for everyone’s safety and protection. This is what we are…we fight together, we pray together and we win together because we are one in this battle. God bless our town Bingawan.
