Municipality of Bingawan, Iloilo joins the TANUM ILOILO 1.5M Trees in a day, a province wide tree growing with social distancing on Saturday, September 26, 2020.

In pursuit of Governor Arthur R. Defensor, Jr. vision to make the Province of Iloilo a Forest Province, an Executive Order No. 211-2020 “An order implementing the TANUM ILOILO – Province wide tree growing with social distancing in the Province of Iloilo” was issued last September 18, 2020.

Mayor Mark P. Palabrica also encourages every Bingawanon to join this province-wide activity, The following are the designated planting areas:

• River banks;
• Municipal/Barangay Plazas and lots, and ecology parks;
• Roadside along national highways, provincial, municipal and barangay roads;
• School premises;
• Premises of office buildings and facilities of NGOs, NGAs, POs and CSOs;
• Household backyard and private lots; and
• Other suitable areas.

Mayor Palabrica also reminds everybody to strictly observe at all time the minimum public health standards or 3M Strategy (Mag Maskara, Mag Distansya kag Manghinaw)
