The Municipality of Bingawan, Iloilo – a multi-awarded municipality led by its multi-awarded Municipal Mayor, Hon. Mark P. Palabrica, DMPM inaugurated the newly constructed Bingawan Tourism Building funded under the FY 2022 Growth Equity Fund (GEF) last August 30, 2023. Only 4 Municipalities in the whole Western Visayas Region received the said fund and Bingawan, Iloilo was the first LGU to accomplish the project. The DILG was represented by DILG VI Assistant Regional Director Maria Calpiza Sardua, CESO IV, and DILG Iloilo Provincial Director Engr. Carmelo F. Orbista, CESO V. MLGOO Genefer Sabio, and Regional and Iloilo Provincial PDMU also attended the said activity. The building will house the following:
- Community Museum
- Café
- DTI Negosyo Center
- Souvenir Shop / Pasalubong Center
- Guest Rooms
- Function Hall
